Who we are
A club that started as a community team
Piwan FC is derived from Piwan Medical Centre, opposite Christ Church, Gulu City. The club is governed by the Medical Centre administration, which began on 4 January 2023 with a single men's side and a simple idea: nurture young youth and children through football.
What began as a small community team has grown into a club competing in home league games, with registration in the 6th Division League in progress and an ambition to reach the Uganda Premier League.
| The squad
Three teams, one standard
Every side trains to the same code — teamwork, respect, discipline and consistency on and off the pitch.
Mission & origin
Football as a tool for health and character
Our mission
Provide children and youth with regular football training sessions and friendly matches that support both athletic performance and personal growth.

Where it came from
The idea grew out of the Piwan Medical Centre administration: nurture young people through football to strengthen teamwork, respect, discipline and behaviour that fits community settings — and a hard work ethic.
- Founded: 4 January 2023
- Governed by: Piwan Medical Centre

Achievement
Real progress, on and off the field
The club has measurably improved the performance of its players and the standard of the team. What began as a men's side has advanced into a full programme with a women's team and a children's team.
There has been marked improvement in the relationship between the team, the Medical Centre and the wider community — a central part of the club's identity.
